Everyone needs someone to talk to when circumstances become overwhelming.
I am very mindful of how difficult finding a therapist that you feel comfortable with can be.
I offer a calm and compassionate approach, while we gain an understanding
of your concerns and how best to manage them.
My primary therapeutic method is ‘psychodynamic’ but I draw on a variety of techniques to
help in whichever way is appropriate: These may include Mindfulness, Behavioural, CBT and
EFT. Once we have revealed, talked-through and understood the root causes of your
concerns we can examine ways of dealing with the issues and moving forward.
There is no judgement or criticism; we just talk and explore thoughts and feelings
about yourself and your relationships. This is a very much a collaborative effort where we
work together to help you through the troublesome episode and out the other side.
I am BACP Accredited, Authorised by Aviva, AXA-PPP, Vitality & BUPA, fully insured
and have been in clinical practice for over 20 years, both in the NHS and privately.
My experience ranges from working with in-patients presenting severe psychotic disorders
during my time at Basildon Hospital, through to self-referred patients with neuroses
or just simple concerns, worries and issues.
A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step (Lao Tzu)
The only thing we have to fear is fear itself. (Theodore Roosevelt)
These two thoughts can be a springboard to finding a way through your darkest of
episodes and allow us explore what has brought you to the feelings you are
experiencing now and how to manage them for the future.
